Who We Are

At Numetric, we are driven to empower Departments of Transportation to be more efficient, data-driven, and focused in making their roadways better and safer, through cloud-based software and data services made exclusively for DOTs.

Our Story

Numetric was built for Department of Transportation engineers by Department of Transportation engineers. As a handful of engineers at the Utah Department of Transportation, we realized that we had a treasure trove of data. We also noticed, unfortunately, that the process of turning that data into decisions was cumbersome, time-consuming, and an impediment to the dissemination of data. We immediately spotted an opportunity to use cloud-based applications to make DOT data more accessible and shareable with key stakeholders and to enable more in-depth analysis for more informed decisions. Numetric was born.

Since then, Numetric has released new product suites of applications to accelerate and automate some of DOTs’ most time-intensive tasks—from running crash queries to performing safety analyses to building concept-level cost estimates for paving projects. We also provide expert data preparation, data structuring, and data management services to allow DOTs to combine and analyze data from multiple sources with more ease and depth than ever before.

Armed with these product and services, an ever-growing number of DOTs across the U.S. have reduced their time to build reports from days to minutes. Time for safety analyses has been cut from weeks to hours. Rather than constantly requesting data, their stakeholders can access and analyze the data themselves in an easy-to-use, cloud-based platform.

But for us here at Numetric, this is just the beginning. The opportunities to liberate DOTs’ data and accelerate and automate their processes are practically endless. With our eyes on the biggest challenges DOTs face, Numetric will continue to unlock the full value of DOT data and build new apps to enable these agencies to save more lives and to make roadways better.
